After a record setting season, can University of North Carolina Red Shirt Junior Quarterback Mitch Trubisky make it big in the NFL?

At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Trubisky has a good size frame that when combined with his mobility and athleticism makes him one of the top quarterback prospects in the country.

Trubisky’s lack of experience as a one-year starter is concerning for NFL scouts, but it might not be enough to keep him from being the first QB selected in the 2017 NFL draft.

NFL scouts seem to agree that Trubisky is a naturally gifted athlete who features a strong throwing arm.

He has the ability to really sling it and that is something that really gets their attention when it comes to potential QBs.

Now, for the negatives.

It really comes down to one and you mentioned it, he can rely on his good arm too much and throws mechanics aside.

Now “arm talent” can be a great thing. It can really help in a tight spot. But, when you rely on it every time you are pressured even the slightest you become Jay Cutler and lead the league in turnovers.

Trubisky does it quite a bit.

Obviously, this is a major issue and something that will take time to correct.

Despite the negatives surrounding this game, many believe with his size and abilities Trubisky has the potential to develop into a strong NFL quarterback.

Mitch Trubisky ethnicity

Trubisky’s great-great-grandfather was an immigrant from the territory of present-day Slovakia, then part of the Kingdom of Hungary.

His parents met as flag football teammates at the University of Akron. His mother Jeanne was a three-sport high school athlete, and his father Dave played four sports. The genes passed on.
